This course introduces how network science, data visualization, and machine learning techniques can address critical biomedical challenges. It focuses on four key areas: Biomedical Network Science, to identify relationships between genes, proteins, and diseases; Processing and Visualizing Medical Data, to make complex datasets interpretable and actionable; Machine Learning on Tabular Medical Data, such as electronic health records, to predict outcomes; and Deep Learning on Unstructured Medical Data, like medical images and genomic sequences. Participants gain hands-on experience with Python to apply advanced computational methods in real-world biomedical contexts. Applicants to the course should have basic knowledge of Python programming! The course duration is July 06-14, 2026 and the price is 800€.
